Station 81
6117 S Palouse Highway, Spokane, WA 99223
Station 81 is located on the City of Spokane’s south hill. The response area is a mix of commercial, residential development and agricultural farms. Station 81 services the area of Moran Prairie, Glenrose, Valley View Hills, Hangman Hills, the Ridge at Hangman, and Browns Mountain. This station provides secondary response to Stations 82 and provides automatic aid response to the City of Spokane Fire Department and Spokane County Fire District 3.
Much of Station 81’s response area is supplied with fire hydrants served by City of Spokane water; rural areas rely on water tender operations.
The station is staffed 24 hours a day with a 3-person ALS (Advance Life Support/Paramedic) Engine Company that work on a three-shift rotation. A-Shift, B-Shift and C-Shift
Station 82
12100 E Palouse Highway, Valleyford, WA 99036
Station 82 is located in Valleyford on the Palouse Highway and serves as the Administrative Offices and Headquarters for Fire District 8. This also is the location of the fire district training tower, training ground and maintenance facility. The offices of the Fire Chief, Assistant Chief, 3 Division Chiefs and administration staff are also located at this facility.
Station 82 serves a mix of small commercial, residential and agricultural farms in Valleyford, Freeman and Mica. The Station 82 response area has no fire hydrants and relies on water tender operations. This station provides secondary response to Stations 81 and 84 and provides automatic aid response to the Spokane County Fire District 11.
The station is staffed 24 hours a day with one full-time Lieutenant / EMT and one full-time Firefighter/EMT. When available, the station is staffed with a third firefighter/EMT or firefighter/paramedic. The crews work a three-shift rotation. A-Shift, B-Shift and C-shift.
Station 84
4410 S Bates, Spokane Valley, WA 99206
Station 84 is located in the Ponderosa development on the southern edge of the City of Spokane Valley. The station serves Ponderosa, Painted Hills, Chester and Dishman-Mica.
Station 84 serves an area of residential developments and small farms. Station 84’s response area has hydrants served by Spokane County Water District 3. Rural areas rely on water tender operations. This station provides secondary response to Stations 82 and 85 and provides automatic aid response to the Spokane Valley Fire Department.
The station is staffed 24 hours a day with a 3-person ALS (Advance Life Support/Paramedic) Engine Company that work on a three-shift rotation. A-Shift, B-Shift and C-Shift
Station 85
3324 S Linke Road, Greenacres, WA 99016
Station 85 is located in the Saltese area and serves Bella Vista, Saltese, Morningside Heights and south Liberty Lake. Station 85 serves an area of residential developments and small farms. This station provides secondary response to Stations 82 and 84 and provides automatic aid response to the Spokane Valley Fire Department.
The Station developments have hydrants which are served by Spokane County Water District 3 and Vera Water and Power. Rural areas rely on water tender operations.
The station is staffed 24 hours a day with one full-time Company Officer / EMT and one full-time Firefighter/EMT. When available, the station is staffed with a third firefighter/EMT or firefighter/paramedic. The crews work a three-shift rotation. A-Shift, B-Shift and C-shift.
