CAN WE FIND YOU IN AN EMERGENCY? HAVING A PROPERLY POSTED ADDRESS IS VERY IMPORTANT
When you call 911 in an emergency, Fire District 8’s emergency response crews are dispatched to a specific address. Emergencies occur both day and night, and under all weather conditions. If the responding crew is unable to locate the address where an emergency conditions exist, they could be delayed, and that could result in serious medical or fire consequences to you, your family or your property.
To help us find you, Fire District 8 has initiated an Address Sign Program. District members will provide and install a reflective address sign for our rural residents at no cost. Our hope is that the program will enhance our ability to provide accurate and timely responses to you and your family should you need fire or medical services.
To request a Fire District 8 address sign, please complete and return this Address Sign Request Form. A District representative will contact you, and approximately four to six weeks after your request is processed, District 8 members will locate and install your new address sign.
For additional information about the Address Sign Program, please contact Division Chief Marty Long at mlong@scfd8.org or phone 509-926-6699.
